Reading Psalms
11:48 AM | Author: Jon
Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a great day. I just felt the need to post about this. If you're like me in the fact of reading the Bible can be a total bore, then go and read Psalms. As part of a Literature assignment, I had to read a bunch of scriptures from Psalms. I was like, "Oh great. Fun." So I sat down and started reading, and I decided to just try to read them as if I were David, and it totally changed everything. I was amazing at how much of a punch could be packed into just one or two phrases. It was really interesting to just read about David's feelings and thoughts when he was going through trial or celebrating victory. And then, in the last psalm I was supposed to read, I came upon a very encouraging verse that really made me thankful for Someone who really loves and cares about me, and is always. I'll leave you with it, Psalm 73:26.

"My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever."
